Di tahun 2018, Zayn Malik kembali merilis sebuah hits lengkap dengan video klipnya yang berjudul “Let Me“. Sebelumnya, Zayn juga secara mengejutkan menghapus semua postingannya di Instagram dengan menyisakan sebuah teaser, voila! seperti spekulasi para fans, tepat tanggal 12 April 2018, “Let Me” pun rilis.
Hitsnya sendiri masih bernuansa R&B dengan lirik dewasa dan tidak terdengar mendayu-dayu seperti “Dusk Till Dawn” tapi tetap asyik didengarkan. Sepertinya bakal ngehits, nih!
Untuk video klip “Let Me” disutradarai oleh José Padilha. Kali ini Zayn menampilkan kemampuan berantem yang lumayan impresif sedangkan model video klipnya dibintangi oleh Sofia Jamora yang kalau diperhatikan mempunyai kemiripan dengan mantan Zayn, Gigi Hadid. Masih belum move on, bang?
menurut saya, dari semua anggota One Direction, bisa dibilang Zayn adalah salah satu member (ex) yang paling menonjol selain Harry Styles. Apalagi setelah memutuskan hengkang dari grup yang telah membesarkan namanya tersebut kemudian merilis album solo perdananya. So far, Zayn adalah yang paling sukses. Menorehkan #1 di Billboard Hot 100 dengan hitsnya, “Pillowtalk“. Apakah hits ini akan menyamai kesuksesan “Pillowtalk“? Kita lihat saja nanti!
Belum ada kepastian kapan Zayn Malik akan merilis album terbarunya, sembari menunggu, kuy liat video klip “Let Me” di bawah ini.
Mungkin bagi kamu yang suka banget youtubing hits-hits cover, pasti sudah mengenal Jasmine Thompson. Dara kelahiran Inggris 8 November 2000 dengan suaran khasnya yang soft-smoky-eerie (LOL) yeah, memang terdengar “ngeri” tapi menghanyutkan bahkan banyak yang melabeli Jass dengan “angel voice”.
Akhirnya Jasmine Thompson merilis single terbarunya yang berjudul “Adore”. Hits ini merupakan single perdananya setelah sign dengan major label, Atlantic Record. Sebelumnya, Jass pernah menelurkan beberapa album yang merupakan kompilasi hits covernya sendiri secara indie serta berkolaborasi bersama beberapa DJ kenamaan diantaranya Robin Schulz dengan hits “Sun Goes Down” yang lumayan sukses dan Felix Jaehn dengan hits “Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)”.
Senang rasanya melihat perkembangan karir Jass yang kian hari mulai menampkakkan diri di industri musik dunia apalagi bagi kamu yang sejak lama mengikuti perkembangan musiknya di Youtube. Mulai dari menyanyikan lagu orang sampai bisa sign dengan major label.
Hits “Adore” sendiri tipikal lagu-lagu EDM kekinian yang tak begitu berisik tapi asyik. Di awal terdengar sedikit familiar dengan intro “Prayer In C (Robin Schulz Remix)”. Mungkin karena kesuksesan “Sun Goes Down”, Jass meneruskannya dengan merilis single seperti ini tapi tetap menonjolkan image dan cara bernyanyi yang misterius-soft-smoky-eerie padahal dengan menyanyikan lagu-lagu mellow akan menunjukkan kualitas angel voice-nya. Actually, I usually never like when youtubers who do cover made their own music. Banyak banget tukang cover lagu rilis lagu original namun terasa kurang greget. Terasa kalau mereka memang lebih cocok cover lagu-lagu orang (nggak semua sih).
Tapi Jasmine Thompson berbeda. I just feel like this is gonna be huge! It’s gonna be the song that gets her famous! Semoga saja.

Satu lagi DJ yang sedang naik daun, Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll atau lebih populer dengan nama Kygo, mempersembahkan hits terbarunya yang berjudul Firestone. Menggandeng penyanyi asal Brisbane, Australia, Conrad Sewell. DJ asal Norwegia ini mengusung deep house yaitu musik house dengan pendekatan jazz-funk-soul. Hasilnya? Yang pasti keren banget apalagi hits ini secara perlahan mencuri perhatian musik dunia dan didengungkan di mana-mana. Bisa jadi hits ini bakal menjadi new anthem di tahun 2015 dan menyusul kesuksesan DJ-DJ terdahulu.
Musiknya sendiri terdengar lebih kalem, sendu dan tidak terlalu hingar bingar namun mampu membuat kepala geleng-geleng dan siap menggerakkan tubuh di lantai dansa. Vocal Conrad Sewell terdengar sangat pas dengan musiknya. Asik!
